Exams....

It is that time of the year again where Exams start to control people's lives and mostly their grades. For me I have only one exam and yes that is not a lot but it is still an exam which I am very worried about. With exams, comes stress and with stress comes everything you didn't want to act like when having exams but I am going to give you tips about some things you can do to help kick exam stress in the bum!

1. Drink plenty of water
> Drinking water helps keeps your body and brain stay hydrated and helps you concentrate.

2. Eat 3 balanced meals per day
> Eating food gives you energy and gives your brain food for you to then concentrate and keep going for the rest of the day.
> Make sure to have healthy snacks like fruit or oats will help to keep you going till the next meal.

3. Study Breaks
> Make sure to have 10-15 minute study break after 40 minutes of studying. This will give your brain and body time to relax and get ready for the next 30 minute study session.

4. Sleep for at least 7-8 hours
> Sleeping helps recharge your body and brain for the next day and will help you become less tired.
> Sleeping early and waking up early can help you have a full day of revising or working.

5. Don't cram revision in on the day of the exam
> If you do this you are more likely to forget the revision you did on previous days.
> Make sure you make a revision timetable to spread out your revision for your subjects.
> Make sure that the subjects closer to the date have at least 3-4 hours per week and those 2-4 weeks away have less time till closer to the exam date.

6. Do previous/mock exam papers
> This will help you understand what kind of questions will be in the paper you will have.
> To make sure you know how much time you need on each question, do the paper under times conditions to help you plan how much time for each question.

7. Exercise
> Exercising can help keep your body and brain energized, going for a walk or run the day before the exam can help reduce the stress you are feeling.

I hope these tips help you and the exams you take go well. Study hard, get your grades and you will be okay. Good Luck to you all!

The Last Year

So it's a new school year but this time for me, it's different. This year is all about getting the grades to be able to go to University next year. To cherish the memories I will make in the next year. I've started this blog because I love to write and I want to be able to do this weekly. Just touching on what's happened in the week and what's made me smile. Over the past few weeks, I have been on a roller-coaster of emotions. A lot of them were not good feelings and although some of those still remain, I am happy for once. I am happy because of the support I have from friends and family when telling them the problems I have and will be facing in the coming months. It's quite hard when you cannot tell anyone what you really feel when they ask how you are. You don't want to tell them to bring their mood down but you need to talk to someone. But right now, that is over with and i am enjoying the life I have. I am getting help for the problems I am faci...

Lego Tape - Review

I don’t know about you but if I could go back to my childhood and not grow out of Lego, I would. I came across this Lego tape online and oh my god I had so much fun with it.  So let me tell you why I am going to play with this Lego tape for the rest of adult life.   When it arrived, there were four packs with the colours green, red, blue and grey. Pretty good colours knowing I didn’t choose them. They came in around 1m strips and are quite flexible. Going to cut them, I found they were easy to cut into pieces, the only problem with this is you can’t put them back together. I found to tackle this is to put two strips together and they should line up and then bricks can be placed on them. Also, this means you can join different coloured strips with bricks and make what you are building more interesting. Before you get the strips you think about how much you can do with them and where to put them but when they get to you, your mind goes blank. I sat on my sofa and thou...

What to do when stressed...

What to do when you're stressed about deadlines... So as the end of my course looms upon me, I am stressing out as it's a lot of work for me to do in two weeks but here are a few things I have found to help with the stress. Eat Healthy  - If you eat pizza every day, the carbohydrates and fat in it with make you feel tired and grouchy. Have a chicken salad instead! The nutrients in the salad will awaken your senses and make you feel alive. Well, this is what it does to me haha! Eating carbs makes me feel tired therefore eating something acidic or sweet like fruit and vegetables will help keep you alert. Avoid drinking fizzy drinks as well. Try drink water or squash to keep yourself hydrated without the caffeine. Take Breaks - Try and do 40 minutes of work then take a 10-minute break. This helps your brain rest for the next 40 minutes of work. Have a drink and a snack in this time to keep your brain and body fed and so you can use your brain for your work! Also, you are ...
